Difco manufactures in our mill in Magog, Quebec sophistically engineered woven greige fabrics using High Tenacity Polyester staple fibre and North American Cotton staple fibre, ranging in weights from 3 ozs per square yard – osy (around 100 gms per square metre – gsm) to 14 osy (around 475 gsm).
Using our airjet, ring or open end yarn spinning technologies and Rapier, Sultzer or Airjet weaving capabilities, Difco produces these fabrics in different weaves, like plain, twill, drill, duck and sateen, various widths and roll sizes depending on the customer’s requirements.
These fabrics are used predominantly in highly technical coating applications where strength, quality and consistency are needed, for example, Abrasive Fabrics, Art Canvas, Filtration Cloth, Military Clothing and Pocketing, Truck and Car Applications.
